Classic lash extensions
Classic lash extensions are a type of lash extension where one synthetic lash is attached to one natural lash, creating a natural and subtle look.
Wet Look lash extensions
Wet Look lash extensions are a type of lash extension similar to Classic but it has more flexible adjustment to both thickness and weights. It creates a thick coat of mascara-like look and looks a bit spiky. By attaching multiple very thin synthetic lash, though it looks thicker, it is actually lighter and longer lasting than Classic lash extensions.
Hybrid volume lash extensions
Hybrid volume lash extensions are a combination of classic and volume lash extensions, where both techniques are used to create a fuller and more dramatic look.
Volume lash extensions
Volume lash extensions are a type of lash extension where multiple synthetic lashes are attached to one natural lash, creating a fuller and more voluminous look.
Mega volume lash extensions
Mega volume lash extensions are a type of volume lash extension where even more synthetic lashes are attached to one natural lash, creating a very full and dramatic look.
Keratin lash lift
Keratin lash lift is a cosmetic treatment where the natural lashes are curled and lifted using a special solution containing keratin, creating a natural and lifted look without the use of extensions.
Procedure
Lash extensions are typically applied by a trained and certified lash technician. The process involves attaching individual lash extensions to each natural eyelash using a semi-permanent adhesive. The technician carefully selects the appropriate length, thickness, and curl of the extensions based on the client’s desired look and natural lashes.
Duration
The lifespan of lash extensions varies depending on the individual’s lash growth cycle and aftercare. On average, lash extensions can last between 4 to 6 weeks. However, it’s important to note that the extensions will gradually shed along with the natural lashes, so touch-up appointments are recommended every 2 to 4 weeks to maintain a full look.
Aftercare
Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure the longevity of lash extensions. Avoid getting the lashes wet for the first 24 to 48 hours after the application to allow the adhesive to fully set. Avoid rubbing or pulling on the lashes, as this can cause damage or premature shedding. Use oil-free makeup removers and avoid oil-based products around the eye area. Regularly brush the lashes with a clean spoolie to keep them aligned and neat.
Safety
Lash extensions, when applied correctly and by a trained professional, are generally safe. However, there is a potential risk of eye irritation, allergic reactions, or infection if proper hygiene and safety measures are not followed. It’s important to choose a reputable and experienced lash technician who adheres to strict sanitation practices and uses high-quality products.
